Welcome to the Advanced Training Programme on Endoscopic Scoring Systems for Ulcerative Colitis

The endoscopic assessment of Ulcerative Colitis (UC) activity using validated scoring systems is limited by lack of training and complexity of some available scores.

This training programme aims to provide a comprehensive yet simplified overview of the main endoscopic scoring systems for grading UC activity in clinical practice.

In the theory section of this training programme, participants will gain insights both into the most common and recently developed scoring systems, aided by examples from still images and annotated videos.

In the practice section, participants will test their ability to grade disease activity through clinical cases, interactive videos, and questions. The ultimate goal is to improve the participants ability to objectively assess disease activity and promote standardized endoscopic reporting to optimise quality and disease management.

If you achieve a score of 80% or more on the practical section of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.

Before starting, we invite you to participate in our online survey for this the Advanced Training Programme. Your participation in this survey will help improve future training programmes and the educational programme in IBD.
